Washer

1. Press Power.
2. Load clothes loosely, clear of the door seal.
3. Detergent in the main slot of the drawer, softener in the softener slot. A pod goes in the drum; in the drawer, press Pods.
4. Turn the dial to your cycle, such as Cottons or Delicates.
5. Close the door firmly and press Start/Pause.

Dryer

1. Clean the lint filter first. Every load.
2. Fill the drum a third to half full.
3. Press Power, choose a cycle, press Start/Pause.

1. Press the button. The light blinks for about 30 seconds, then holds steady.
2. Lift the lever and drop in a Vertuo capsule, dome down.
3. Close, turn the lever left to lock, cup on the stand, press once.
4. Turn the lever right to open. The capsule drops into the container.

1. The Home button (house icon) opens your apps.
2. Move with the arrow ring; select with the centre button.
3. Sign in to your own streaming accounts, and sign out before you leave.

Burners

1. Push the knob in and turn it anticlockwise to LITE.
2. It clicks until the flame catches; then set the height.

Oven

1. Choose Bake or Broil, set the temperature, press Start.
2. Please don’t line the oven floor with foil.

Microwave

1. Enter a time or preset, then Start.
2. Switch the fan on whenever a burner below is lit.

Air conditioning

1. Press Power; it remembers the last settings.
2. Press Mode until you see the snowflake (Cool).
3. Set 24–25°C. Each degree lower adds noticeably to the power bill.
4. Display dims the unit’s screen at night.

Ceiling fans

1. Speeds 1 (soft) to 6 (full). ALL OFF stops fan and light.
2. Keep it on F for a cooling downdraft.
3. Timer: 1, 2 or 4 hours.
